Start a group conversation

On desktop (macOS and Windows) or on Wire for web

There are two ways:

  1. In the conversation list, select Contacts to show the search field.



  2. Select Create Group:



  3. Name the group and set permissions:



  4. Select people to add to the group:



  5. Select CREATE:

You can have a group conversation with up to 500 people. To add someone to a group conversation you need to be connected with that person

Or, you can add people to an existing 1:1 conversation.

 

On mobile devices

iOS

  1. In the conversation list, select Contacts.
  2. Select Create group.
  3. Name the group, for example "Team meeting".
  4. Select NEXT.
  5. Select people to add to the group. 
  6. Select CREATE.

You can have a group conversation with up to 500 people.

Or, you can add people to an existing 1:1 conversation.

Android

  1. In the conversation list, select NEW.
  2. Select participants from the list or search for people.
  3. Select New Group.
  4. Name the group.
  5. Select Continue.
  6. Adjust settings if needed.
  7. Select Continue.

You can have a group conversation with up to 500 people.

Or, you can add people to an existing 1:1 conversation.
