Start a video call

On desktop (macOS and Windows) or on Wire for web:

In the conversation list:

1. Select the contact you'd like to call:
   
   
2. Select the camera button in the conversation to begin the call:
   
   
3. To end the call, select hang-up button.
   
   

   Google Chrome 86 or higher, Mozilla Firefox 117 or higher, and Opera support video calls on Wire.

• On mobile devices  

  iOS

  In the conversation list:

  1. Select the name of the person you'd like to talk to.
  2. Select the camera button in the upper right corner of the conversation. 
  3. To end the call, select hang-up button.
     
     

     Please be aware:

     Your call ends when you, as a recipient, lock your screen. It is the expected iOS behavior.
     
     To avoid this case:

     1. Open your device settings.
     2. Select Accessibility.
     3. Select Touch.
     4. Enable Prevent Lock to End Call.

  Android

  In the conversation list:

  1. 1. 1. 1. Select the name of the person you'd like to talk to.
           2. Select the calling button. 
           3. Turn your camera on.
           4. To end the call, select hang-up button.
