Channels are available for teams using a paid plan. Using the free plan, you can upgrade easily to enjoy channels.
Channels are conversations with additional options and features. They help you and your team to be more productive. You can use private or public channels (public channels are coming soon).
- Public channels will be visible to all team members. Everyone can find and join them
- Private channels are conversations that are not usable by all team members. Channel admins need to add new participants.
Team admins can adjust in team management who can create channels. Team admins are automatically channel admins.
On desktop (macOS, Windows, or on Wire for web)
1. Select the create a conversation button .
2. Select New Channel:
3. Add a channel name:
4. Decide if the channel should be private or public. If you select private, select who can add new participants to this private channel (public channel are coming soon):
5. Select a period for the conversation history (coming soon).
6. Select Next.
7. Select the channel options:
8. Select Next.
9. Select the participants.
10. Select Done.
You can use channels with up to 500 people. To add someone you need to be connected with that person.
