If you restore Wire from an Apple Time Machine backup and/or the Mac Migration Assistant, you need to make sure that your old Wire installation was never opened while or after you opened Wire on your new device.
Otherwise, it will corrupt the cryptobox session on both devices and this could break your encryption setup.
If this issue occurred, we recommend logging out on your new device, remove this device, and log in as a new device.
