If you restore Wire from an Apple Time Machine backup and/or the Mac Migration Assistant, or any other migration tool:
Please be aware that they might corrupt the core-crypto session on both devices, and this could break your encryption setup. If this issue occurs, we recommend logging out of your new device, removing this device, and logging in as a new device.
We recommend not using those tools at all. Please use a fresh install and Wire's backup instead.
