Manage your devices

Each time you uninstall/reinstall Wire or log in to your Wire account from a new device, you will be notified via email that a new device has been added to your account. You can manage the devices associated with your Wire account at any time.

 

On desktop (macOS, Windows, or on Wire for web)

In the conversation list:

1. Select Preferences to go to your profile:

2. Select Devices:

 

3. A list of your active devices is displayed. Select the device name and ID that you'd like to remove:

 

4. Select Remove Device and confirm with your password.

On mobile

iOS

In the conversation list:

  1. Select your profile picture to access your Settings Settings16x16.png.
  2. Select Devices. A list of your active devices is displayed.
  3. Select the device name and ID that you'd like to remove.
  4. Select Remove Device.
  5. Enter your Wire password to delete devices.
  6. Select Remove.

Android

In the conversation list:

  1. Select the menu button .
  2. Select Settings .
  3. Select Manage devices.
  4. Select the device name and ID that you'd like to remove.
  5. Select Remove Device.
  6. Enter your Wire password to delete devices.
  7. Select Remove.
