Make files available offline

You can browse and open your files even when you have no connection by making them available offline. This way, you can still access important content.

Info

  • Drive and Shared Drive automatically switch to offline mode, when your device is offline
  • Only downloaded files are displayed
  • The file list shows a reduced folder structure:
    • Only folders containing cached files are visible
    • Folder paths are preserved
    • No empty folders are shown
  • A persistent banner is displayed: You can still access your offline files.
  • Sorting, searching, and filtering are disabled in offline mode
  • When you open a file, it loads from the local cache in read-only mode
  • You can't use Collabora files in offline mode

On mobile

  1. Select a conversation.
  2. Select Shared Drive via the heading:

  3. Select the more options button next to the file:

  5. The file will be marked as downloaded :

To remove the offline access:
