Filter files

To quickly find what you need and efficiently manage shared documents, you can filter your files by different criteria, both within a conversation’s Shared Drive and in Drive. 

General behavior

• Use filters via the search view

• The filters menu appears after the search bar

• The filters list is horizontally scrollable (on mobile)

• You can use one filter category, for example, File type

• Multiple values can be selected within a filter, for example, Documents and Videos

• When a filter is applied:

  • Other filters become disabled

  • To apply another filter, you have to remove the previously selected one by selecting Remove all filters

  • Selecting it clears the filter, but doesn’t affect sorting

• Applied filters display a count of selected values, for example, 2

1. On desktop (macOS, Windows, or on Wire for web)

   1. Select a conversation.
   2. Open the Shared Drive tab in your conversation.
   3. Select the search field:
      
      
   4. Select a filter option, like Tags.
   5. View the filtered list:
      
      
   6. To remove the filter, select Clear all:
      
      

2. On mobile

   iOS

   1. Select a conversation.
   2. Select Shared Drive via the heading:
      
      
   3. Select the search field:
      
      
   4. Select a filter option, like Tags.
      
      
   5. View the filtered list:
       
      
   6. To remove the filter, select Remove all filters:
      
      
       

   Android

   1. Select a conversation.
   2. Select the conversation name via the heading:
      
      
   3. Select Shared Drive:
      
      
   4. Select the search field:
      
      
   5. Select a filter option, like Tags:
      
      
   6. View the filtered list:
      
      
   7. To remove the filter, select Clear all:
