Sadly, people use Wire for their own gain. When we become aware they share content that exploits or endangers children, we delete accounts if the account activity violates our Terms of Use. We also report them to Swiss Legal Authorities in compliance with Swiss law.
How can I report illegal content?
Please follow this process:
- Reach out to Wire immediately and directly by visiting support.wire.com.
- Select Submit a request.
- Select Report misuse as the issue reason. We prioritize requests like this in our support queue.

Provide as much detail as possible:
- Wire username of the suspicious user (for example, @johnsmith)
- Screenshots of the illegal activity are beneficial. Our support team may request additional information, so provide as much detail as possible with your initial submission to ensure the fastest resolution.
