Send a ping

A ping is a way to get someone's attention with animation and sound. To ping someone:

On desktop (macOS, Windows, or on Wire for web)

 On macOS and Windows

Select the ping button inside the conversation:

OR

From the menu bar, select CONVERSATION and then PING or use Command + K (on macOS X), CTRL + K (on Windows).

On Wire for web

Select the ping button inside the conversation.

When you ping someone, they'll see a ping  in the conversation view and in the conversation list. The conversation will also move to the top of the list.

On mobile devices

1. Select the conversation in the conversation list.
2. Select the more icon .
3. Select the ping icon .
