How does archiving work?

  • Archiving allows you to keep only the most relevant conversations on your list.

    On desktop (macOS and Windows) or on Wire for web:

    To archive a conversation:

    1. Hover the cursor over a conversation.

    2. Select Down Arrow ▼ to the right of the conversation you'd like to archive.

    3. Select Archive.

    The conversation will be moved to the archive, which is displayed under a line at the bottom of the conversation list.

    To view an archived conversation:

    1. Select the archive icon at the bottom of the conversation list.

    2. Select the desired conversation. The unarchived conversation will return to the conversation list.

  • On mobile:

    From the conversation list:

    1. Swipe right on the conversation you want to archive.
    2. Select ARCHIVE.

    The conversation will be moved to the archive.

    To view an archived conversation:

    Select the archive icon  archive16x16.png at the bottom of the conversation list.
