Federation – Join a guest room

  • Updated

Wire makes it easy to invite guests to specific conversations, for example, to work together on a project. Guests can only access information related to the conversations they've been added to and can't see the complete list of team members or add or remove others. Guests are always clearly marked as guests.

Invite people outside your team with a link. Team members can create guest rooms on their desktop or mobile devices and share the link with the person or group they want to collaborate with.

Guests can access the rooms through a browser on their desktop. Guest rooms are great for temporary conversations. Once the conversation is over, it disappears from your overview, and your contact list stays tidy.

Please be aware: All participants of this guest room will see the same security level banner – even for people of another backend. This level depends on the security level of the guest room creator.
