Remind app

  • Updated

The app helps setting up reminders in Wire conversations for you and your team.

  1. The Remind app is an external app that you can add for your team in team management (Remind app ID: 0203b6e6-59f7-4a71-bd89-b52045f322da).
  2. When the app is added in team management, your team members can add it to any group conversation.
  3. Set your timezone before you create your first reminder. The Remind App reads every reminder you set in your own time zone, so it needs to know it up front. You set this once, in your 1:1 conversation with the app, using /remind set-timezone "Europe/Berlin".

    1. Use the IANA timezone name for your city (for example, Europe/Berlin or America/Detroit).
    2. A conversation can have a maximum of 5 active reminders at a time.
    3. Once added, you can always get a quick reminder of how commands work by typing /remind help in the conversation.
  4. Create reminders: You can create a reminder in one-to-one or group conversations.
  • One-time reminders, for example:

/remind to "do something" "in 5 minutes"

/remind to "do something" "today at 21:00"

/remind to "do something" "18/09/2025 at 09:45"

/remind to "do something" "next monday at 17:00"

  • Recurring reminders, for example:

/remind to "Start the daily stand up" "every day at 10:00"

/remind to "Start the weekly stand up" "every weekday at 10:00"

/remind to "Start the weekly stand up" "every Monday at 10:00"

/remind to "Start the weekly stand up" "every MON, Tue, Friday at 10:00"

The app confirms every reminder it creates:

Manage your reminders

  • List all active reminders in a conversation with /remind list. Each reminder in the list has a Delete button you can use to remove it directly.
  • You can also delete a specific reminder with /remind delete <reminder-identifier>, using the identifier shown in the list.
