My email address is already in use and I cannot create an account. What can I do?

To create a new team account or join a team, you need an email address that isn´t already registered on Wire.

Change an email address for the team owner

In Wire:

1. Select Settings.
2. Select Account.
3. Change your email address.
4. Verify the new email address. You can now use your old email address to create a new team account.
5. Go to teams.wire.com and create a new team account.

Change an email address for team members

In Wire:

1. Select Settings.
2. Select Account.
3. Change your email address.
4. Verify the new email address. Your old email address can now be used for a team account.
5. Ask the team owner to send you an invitation to the team.
