all Chats lost - no encrypted backup to icloud Planned

Unfortunately, I have to point out that the Wire Messenger is not included in the iCloud backup. After resetting my iPhone, where I had no opportunity to create a backup beforehand, everything was unfortunately lost.

It could also be stored encrypted and only decrypted after restoring the backup, similar to WhatsApp or other messengers.

The manual backup option is not really helpful because it always has to be initiated manually. No one is going to make backups of Wire every week. Any extra action will eventually be postponed or forgotten. And then you realize that you don’t have a current backup.

I know security comes at a price, but surely more is possible here than just a session reset.
