How can I report a crash on an iOS device?

If you experience a crash on your iOS device, we might ask you to send us the crash logs.

 

On iOS (for iOS 11 or later)

  1. Navigate to your device Settings > Privacy > Analytics > Analytics Data.
  2. Scroll through this list to find Wire events. 
  3. Tap one of these events. 
  4. Tap the share icon at the top right.

Attach the log files in your message to us.

On Mac OS:

  1. Open Finder.
  2. From the top menu, click Go > Go to folder, or Shift-Command-G.
  3. A dialog box should appear. Copy and this link into the box, then click Return: ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice
  4. Open the folder name of the device you’ve synced.
  5. Select the most recent or relevant crash logs. The name of each log file will include the app, the date and time the file was created, and the device, such as: Wire 2-15-16, 3-33 PM.crash

On Windows:

  1. Open Windows Explorer.
  2. Copy and paste this link into the address bar and click Enter: %APPDATA%\Apple Computer\Logs\CrashReporter\MobileDevice\
  3. Open the folder name of the device you’ve synced.
  4. Select the most recent or relevant crash logs. The name of each log file will include the app, the date and time the file was created, and the device, such as: Wire 2-15-16, 3-33 PM.crash
