Calls can use either Variable Bit Rate (VBR) or Constant Bit Rate (CBR).
When using CBR, a corresponding label will be displayed on both the calling and the receiving side. This setting only affects 1:1 calls; conference calls always use CBR encoding.
When using VBR calls use fewer data and work better on slower networks. Turn off to use constant bitrate encoding (CBR).
On desktop
To enable CBR:
- Go to Preferences.
- Click Audio / Video.
- Uncheck the checkmark – Variable Bit Rate Encoding.
To disable CBR/enable VBR:

On mobile
